U.S. Army Surplus ASU Blue Dress Jacket, New

This U.S. Army Blue Dress Jacket represents a bold experiment, begun in 2007, to replace the traditional green “service uniform” and blue “dress uniform” of the U.S. Army with a single blue uniform. The experiment was not successful. In 2018, the U.S. Army adopted a new green ASU, based on World War II designs, and started the transition back, set to be complete by 2027. Now these blue ASU Jackets have entered the surplus market, and ready for addition to historical collections, costuming wardrobes and other custom repurposement.
