The French ARF-A (aka ANP VP F1) offered a big upgrade to maintaining soldiers’ field of view. The previous model used by French Forces, the ANP M51, was their first post-WWII design and offered only 2 small circular view ports. This model included a “Visière Panoramique” (or “Panoramic Visor”) for keeping a better eye on changing battlefield conditions. Comfortable 6-strap fit, too. Complete with drinking tube for long-term use and voice diaphragm for easy communication with your squad. A cool collectible for any military collection.
